Hey everyone, I've been out of touch for a bit. Three months without a studio while I searched, purchased and updated a fixer-upper. But I have finally moved in (as of a week ago Monday) and I am fairly settled! Here's a peek into my new work spaces. The creative juices are flowing and I'll have lots of new work shortly. Stay tuned!
Tabletop applications from my Random Quotes artwork. This could be fun for barware too!
Here is a peek of another series I am currently working on. In this one I randomly choose a quote from the Dictionary of Quotations printed in 1968. I open the book to any page, snap a photo and then use that as a basis for the artwork. I hope you'll follow me on this journey of exploration and experimentation. All of the images in this collection are available to license for use on your products. They are currently available as prints on canvas or paper via Saatchi Art.
I am so excited to show you the first nine in a series of 365 days of creation, inspired by the poetry of Rumi. Via A Year of Rumi, I receive a poem each day via email. I read and then sit with the poetry in a form of meditation for a period of time. I then begin an intuitive drawing or painting.
These prints are available to you via Saatchi Art. I'd love to have you follow me on this journey. Please visit Saatchi Art and read the poetry that inspired each print. Feel free to "Heart" your favorites by hovering over the image, or leave me a comment. I'd love to know what you think. Enjoy!
I've started a couple of new series for 2017. Here is a peek into one of them. This series is inspired by a book of quotes from a book published in 1968 titled Dictionary of Quotations. I thought I'd start on January 1st, but I just couldn't wait. Here is #01. I'd love to know what you think!
Tabletop Dinnerware, gift and textile designs. Send me a message if you'd like to see more.
Wishing you the Merriest Christmas!
Lot's of Winter Holiday artwork in progress . . . here's a peek.
How do you show gratitude?
I spent a little time tidying up my studio today and thought I'd invite you in for a peek at what's happening here . . .
Fall is my favorite time of year. It's the season of my birth, and I wonder sometimes if that's why I love it so much. Or maybe it's the relief from the heat, humidity and the mosquito's here in Minnesota. As an artist, I am normally drawn to reds and orange especially terra-cotta orange. These hues are abundant in every direction you look this time of year. Strangely enough, I've somehow found my way to this new fall color palette. I am enjoying the fresh new look and I'd love to know what you think?
It's always exciting to see one's work come to fruition. This just shipped!
Sitting in the coffee shop drawing for a few hours this morning, I overheard conversations on climate change, mental health, paleontology, and snowshoeing. People are fascinating . . .
I love Chickens! The center illustration was created using acrylic washes on canvas. I loved the process and found color inspiration in the found images layered behind it. Can you see this along with coordinating prints on products? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
